Wendy Keller

Wendy's Bio:

Wendy Keller is a survivor. Between 1991 and 1995, a span of just four years, she survived a heinous car accident that caused the deaths of her two small children; was left handicapped and in serious pain; her husband, a lay minister, became "too close a friend" with her live-in nurse; gave birth to their third child while still on crutches; experienced the complete and utter loss of a previously fervent faith; was subsequently ostracized from her religious community; underwent several corrective surgeries; teetered near financial ruin; endured a gruesome divorce; and moved to three different homes with a toddler in tow.

The emotional fallout from all these things would flatten most people, maybe for life. But Wendy is a former award-winning journalist, a bookworm and a serial entrepreneur. So in the darkest pit of pain, she began to research how people throughout history surmounted their own problems. Then she applied her business savvy to the task. The results were profound! Wendy's primary company, Keller Media, Inc. (www.KellerMedia.com) sells business and self-help books to publishers around the world.  This work requires a good grasp of what people want to read to make their work or personal lives better and strong negotiation skills.  It is the combination of applying business skills to the formula for overcoming difficulties, and her own profound experiences that make Wendy's speeches so impactful for those who hear her.

Once we learn the formula for negotiating life's challenges and setbacks,

we are able to maintain hope, joy & a sense of drive.

To "practice" this formula for negotiating life, Nature sent Wendy another challenge when a wildfire swept through Malibu in November, 2007, and completely burned her home and her office building.  The process of again rebuilding her life underscored the effectiveness of the concepts. Wendy shares with business audiences, women in need of the courage to negotiate, people who have lost children and the people who want to help them. The summary lesson: be mentally and physically prepared, stay positive even if you have force yourself and persist.  You'll get your goals in time.  Things ALWAYS get better.

Some of Wendy's achievements so far:

  • Learning to walk normally again, despite extreme physical damage, even becoming a competitive epee fencer for a while.
  • Raising her daughter alone, and as a single female entrepreneur
  • Bought her own house in Malibu, CA (the one that burned)
  • Author of 31 published books
  • Appearances on 48 national TV programs, including Dr Phil, Dateline, The Early Show, Hannity and Colmes and more.

  • Literary Agent for more than 750 deals worldwide
  • Counseling hundreds of bereaved parents
  • More than 530 speaking engagements

She takes this work very seriously and brings her 100% focus and attention to every event she delivers.
